Ever since we have been in the current house, I knew I wanted to change up the flooring. I want the carpet gone, which is unusual for me, I love the feel of carpet and with having kiddos, someone is usually laying on it, rolling around. In our last home, we stained all the concrete except for the bedrooms, which were carpet, and most of the bathrooms were tile. Which brings me to the tile in this house, I want it gone also.
When we talked about the flooring last weekend, we went through what all we would do.
It’s pretty simple: Probably vinyl wood everywhere, including bedrooms….why vinyl? This house will more than likely become rental property for us, so the upkeep would be a lot easier than real wood would be and we are not planning on staying here much longer at all. The mister didn’t think we should remove the tile because of the expense, so I told him I would remove it….wish I had a camera for the look I got :).
As I was searching through pictures of flooring, I decided to look at FLOR. I have been gaga over these since they first came out and have looked at these modular tiles many, many times before…. aren’t they fabulous???
I love all the textures/patterns they have. This is SOOOO right up my alley.
So why not do this as a rug on top of the wood??? How awesome would that be?!?! OR use as a long entry way rug for when your entry was is riDONKuously long, as mine is….
Hmm, I think I might be onto something here for this house, instead of using area rugs. I have found another obsession….
They can connect together and not to your floor, so no damage right?? Stands up to spills, kids and pets, awesomeness!! You can change out squares, and they are made with renewable and recycled content and the squares themselves are recyclable, holla!! I can even take them with me when we move….I am ALL over that!
Have you or anyone you know used these??
To many more,
A
