Hola… You know that feeling, thank goodness its already Wednesday and it’s only wednesday? Yup, I’m there. Glad the week is almost over, but only leading to a busier weekend, blah blah blah…
Think I am just in a blah blah blah mood…when the nine year old sleep walked, the four year old cried out alot, I can’t fall asleep, and then the four year old is rubbing your arm, asking for breakfast at what you swear is 4 in the a.m., it tends to produce a blah blah blah mental status.
Whatevs….
Anywho, todays weekly series is pretty simple. Some have asked if I seriously dress up everyday like in the pictures. Pshhhhh, I wish….but I don’t think this series, What Makes you be you, and Dress The Way That You Do, is about dressing up, and my pics are far from it. Like yesterday was a t-shirt, a scarf (t-shirt was a tad tight), jeans, TOM’s, a stubby pony tail and big ol’ sunglasses because my eye make-up decided to be uncooperative. Meant to take a picture, and totally forgot. So no, I have days that I am lucky if I get out of my workout clothes.
Step off of the first, itty bitty soap box, there is a bigger one coming up.
This weeks is something that is super comfy, which usually means that it is not attractive. Don’t worry, it’s not a velour track suit all gussied up or anything. I couldn’t find my bedazzler, dernnnn….
Funny, I really like my RayBans, have had them for years, but now since my others are so much bigger, and I really, really like those, I feel a tad Terminator-ish in these…
The 12 year old and I were spouting off ‘Napoleon’ lines while doing this, so here is one of my Uncle Rico moves…
Look ma, I can rotate my hip out to a very awkward position… wth am I doing? All I remember is the 12 year old saying I don’t smile enough, so there ya go…
(shirt/dress:F21, jeans:Celebrity Pink, shoes:Converse, glasses:Ray Ban P, headband:local boutique, watch:SLAP)
So now to pull up a larger crate, grab a megaphone and shout it out. I like Forever 21 (big inhale, then proceed to pass out).
yup, it’s true. I may lose a few readers cause of this, but here goes…
I hear peeps all the time going off about how they can’t stand it, it’s too loud, crappy quality, horrible service, yadda yadda…
Come on people, get over it already. Yeah their stuff can be crappy, why? Cause it’s cheap! Hello?? Like the little dress/shirt I am wearing (think it’s supposed to be a dress, but my hiney was hanging out so I opted for the pants) was a whopping $11.
Yup eleven buckaroos.
So if it doesn’t stay together for an eternity, I’m cool with that cause I didn’t write a hot check for it, ya dig?
And God knows I hate paying a ton for trendy items, so this is a perfect fit, cause the guilt does not set in, like it has before, when the next year rolls around and that super duper top ain’t so much anymore. But most of my stuff from there has withstood the test of time, meaning I usually get tired of it before it falls a part, hawwwwesomenessss….
Stick with me people, I am about to step down from this wobbly crate…
There are ways to go about it. Go in early if you can. Less of a crowd if any at all, sales people are for the most part a tiny bit happier (the rude ones are probably in school), music isn’t quite as loud, so it makes it a ton easier to get around.
Yes it can be overwhelming finding things with SO much stuff, but come on now…with everything so cheap, I am sure you could compromise…
Put your earplugs in, take your Lexapro with an expresso shot and you’ll be good to go.
Megaphone down, exit crate and scene….
To many more,
A
Be sure and head over to Oak House 5 and see how well Kelly balances on her crate 🙂
