I have been messing around with my silhouette more and more…it literally sat for 6 months before I attempted it, then another 5 months before really doing it. Stupid. We have made eye to eye contact on a daily basis, I swear I hear it laughing at me.
I ran across this easy cut out and decided to attempt it. But, you do NOT have to have one for this. Its three, super simple cut outs.
Supplies:
Card Stock
Skewer
Mod Podge
Glitter
Double Stick Tape
Cut out two simple hearts and the ‘vanes or fletching’, aka the top part. Be sure to cut two slits to slide your skewer through.
1. Take your heart shape and draw an outline for your modge podge.
2. Dump an unnecessary amount of ultra fine glitter on the glue. (Martha Stewart is my all time fav)
3. While glitter is drying, make sure you are sporting a mani that hasn’t been touched in weeks and run the skewer through the ‘feathers’.
4. Attach back of heart with double stick tape, cursing because the tape sticks more to your fingers than the paper.
Attach top heart, with more ever sticky tape of course.
I ran mine through (actually shoved between the poms) my pom pom wreath (tutorial HERE). yes it is still up….and praying the wind doesn’t take it away and I see the cute little arrow in the street.
Fingers crossed.
