So. I didn’t quite post exactly like I how planned to every night along the way.
Possibly because I walked into the hotel room and literally fell on the floor before I could make it to the bed.
And I realized I wasn’t taking as many images as I wanted along the way.
Hey, I was on a mission. Determination. Driving a GMC. Picking items for hundreds of miles.
So I will catch you up.
He came and found us after he had heard what we were doing for #gmchta and #habitatforhumanity. He owned all the land we were shopping on, is a retired firefighter, cop and is currently an auctioneer, real estate agent and avid car collector. He invited me to come back to the best pork fest here in Ohio. I told him I lived in Texas, and he said it was in September so I have time to get back up here. And said he was proud of us for what we were all doing. These are the NICEST people.
For the most part, the people we came across wanted to either donate or reduced their prices after we talked about what we were doing.
We found out that we could park within a reasonable amount of parking space.
Found these gorgeous bottles after we ended up in Indiana. Yes. Indiana. Thats another state, not located on our route.
Its all about Adventures, right?
I was seriously obsessed with the homes, hills and how green everything was.
Seriously, there wasn’t a ton going on in this little place, except this insanely cute Kewpee.
I had to make the executive decision to stop, stand in the middle of the road and take this.
Brooke kept getting her famous on, while we snapped pics in the background.
Day 1 went pretty smooth sailing till the end when people said we were popping up everywhere.
By Day 2 till the end of the trip, people stopped to ask if we were famous, giving away t-shirts, taking pictures with us. HGTV and American Pickers were cursing through too.
We basically looked like the mafia. 6 2015Denalis, 2 2015Sierra’s with trailers, and 1 2015Acadia plowing through 127.
Amy & Taryn picked up a few stowaways in the form of mice. So what do you do when you have over 10 females and two tiny mice? Most scream and run away while a few brave ones empty the car and wait on the visitors to jump out.
After staying up till 2am painting and waking at 4:15 to head out, we arrived at the Habitat Home at 6am.
We immediately got to work on all of our projects.
And said goodbye to my bff for the week. I think she misses me….
Finished up, presented the house and headed out.
Here is a sneak peek….
Check back in tomorrow for the reveal 😉
