This year for fall, I needed to keep things quite simple for fall decor.
With the busyness of work and kids activities, I knew complete fall decorating would be the first thing to go.
Now that doesn’t mean all of it. I still added touches here and there, and freshened a few things up.
And honestly, I really love the simple. It’s easy to transition into and out of for the next season. Since Christmas comes up so fast, I don’t spend a ton of time switching everything around.
By using a small crate set out by the front door (pictured above), I can fill it with a few pumpkins as opposed to just setting them on the ground. They create a more welcoming entry way for guest, and we are constantly having people come and go in this season.
I grabbed a few wicker balls of different sizes and placed them in a few different shaped and colored bowls around the living. They added another layer of texture to the space.
I grabbed just a few pumpkins to set inside the house and on the coffee table. If you can’t tell, I am a pretty big fab of the small, white ones :).
I set two up on the mantel and normally place a small candle behind it when I know we are having company.
I am a huge throw blanket person, mainly because I am always cold. I always freshen up my living by tossing them in the washer with my Unstopables In-Wash Scent Booster Beads to help the space smell better. Add a quick room spray in the area and I’m good to go!
I do like to have a small table setting in place for get togethers.
It’s not anything crazy, just a few pumpkins and such and you have a simple place setting.
I mentioned earlier that I do adore the white pumpkins, but one of my all time favorite fall decorating tricks is a quick coat of gold paint on a few 🙂
