ahhh….the craziness of the holidays are upon us,
with the planning of elementary Christmas parities in full swing.
A friend and I were assigned to take care of the food and drinks, and instead of bringing boxes of liquid sugar, I decided to make punch.
Basically homemade sugar that tastes better than store bought, no?
I did a couple of test runs, sampling all since the offspring were decided to get an education that day.
Needless to say I gained a couple pounds and looked six months preggo after the taste testing, but I found a winner.
Ingredients that I used:
7-UP
Hawaiian Punch
Vanilla Ice Cream
Crushed Peppermints
Red Sugar
Put a bit of the red sugar on a plate, moisten the rim of the cup and dip in the sugar.
Food for thought:
You can do the Hawaiian Punch first. It makes the drink and the foam more of a solid pink, but it didn’t create as much foam at all…the ice cream didn’t rise to the top like it did when I put the 7-UP in first.
I don’t want to break out my glasses and get all scientific…but always trust the bubbles, they work wonders people.
