We all know things don’t go as visioned….
We have a favorite place that we both love to eat at when we head out of town. One reason is the beyond fabulous popovers they have. I’m not even a huge bread fan but I can never get enough of them.
So when I spotted a popover pan last week, I about went nuts…even texting husband of the glorious find I had bestowed to our family. Gathered the ingredients, the few that it required we had, and went off spinning in the kitchen like Snow White, knowing how fabulous these would be.
Ahem.
I have projects daily, and I mean daily, that never turn out the way I had them in my upper mess of a head. If you could see all the images on my computer, stored away, that I have never talked about, you might be in shock. I just toss, as some bloggers do, and move on to the next project.
But last week, when I talked about the Cream of Mushroom Soup, some asked ‘What is that thing over there? It’s like bread, but…’
As they cooked away, while I made the soup, they popped. But, umm, not exactly ‘over’. Everyone walked by, because the smell was amazing, and stopped when they peeked in the oven….’huh, is it supposed to look like that?’ I didn’t look till the end.
Some sort of bread tube thingy. What the….

I promise, they really are amazing. And I will attempt them again!
