Our current living area is a large, open concept space. And I am not even joking on the large part.
One one hand it’s great for guest and the daily flow of neighboring kids running through, tagging each other and a dog who thinks the entire space is dedicated to her well being. But on the other hand, our furniture ‘floats’ throughout the space, having the sofa sideways, along the back wall and a chair or two, pushed in front of the fire place.
Fun, right? I guess if you are 7yearsold it’s probably awesome. Like ice skating with your mom’s couch that she really, REALLY likes.
But to be in your mid-30’s and walk into a space that looks like you paid to have a Tasmanian Devil plan the layout of your room, is not quite appealing.
One word: Rugs
I knew if we would put a large area rug in here, it would not only help define the space for the living area and walk ways, but furniture skating would no longer be an afternoon activity. Only a distant memory.
boohoo.
Isn’t that what those little things called ‘toys’ are for?
I have been stalking RugsUSA for almost a year and have narrowed down some of my favorites, revolving around white, black with a bit of navy’s and gray’s, of course. If narrowing down 3000+ to 25 is what you call narrowing down, then that is exactly what I did.
Curious what everyones thoughts are. I definitely have my top three picked out, what are yours?
