Last week, when I revealed the rug I had chosen for the living room, I casually mentioned that I was also in the search for a coffee table.
You see, I had been searching for over a year, and found the most perfect mid-century modern table ever.
EVER.
I had ran across it at a resale shop and it was from the early 60’s. I hugged it, cherished it and played helicopter parent over that sucker. It was a glass triangle top with three wooden legs. Yes, I said was…..past tense.
Then, one summer day, the 7yearold felt the need to rest her tired legs and gave it a light tap, tap, taparoo and it shattered.
Everywhere.
le sigh….
So my search began again (and rug purchase), and I really wanted to build one, but I am drowning in projects and have a fondness of lucite. So I opted on buying from CB2 instead of building.
Lucite can be tricky. It can disappear from an area and I didn’t want it to be lost in our living, so after it arrived, I went to work, mainly grabbing things from around the house.
