As the littles have gotten older, our videos and pictures are too few and too far between. Except for selfies….lots and lots of selfies that stream into my iTunes everyday.
But that is a story for another day.
What I do miss are the little videos, where you forget what their voice sounds like, their little facial expressions, how giant their teeth look in their mouth, how easily they get grossed out by the thought of kissing (see below :))….
So naturally I was pretty excited when I downloaded the OneDay App. We tested it for Valentine’s Day Memories. It will record short stories that you can save to your camera roll and share with others, if you want. It actually gives you prompts to ask, which helps spur on the talking. If your kiddos are like mine, and are too cool when you flip the camera on, the questions get them to participate. It’s currently free, available through iTunes, Google Play and don’t worry Android users, it’s available for you too.
It’s super simple. After you download it, you will be given options for stories you want to create (Valentines, Toddlers, Families, Holidays, Adults, etc.), there are a ton of great stories to pick from.
Each story has a set of questions, ranging between 2-9 questions. Ask the question and record.
There is no editing at all. At all. Answer the questions and save it. The app combines it all together for you and it’s ready for you to save and send out, if you want to ;). Super easy and my kids keep recording each other with it.
Basically, she is going to be a dog doctor, who will never get married or have kids. She will live in New York and fly a spaceship to work. Oh, and she really loves her dad. And candy 🙂
