I have talked about the craziness of this time of year more than once. The holiday parties and family gatherings seem to be back to back, and getting prepared for them seems to be a task that I put off until the last minute!
That’s probably why I always opt to bring a favorite drink to our parties. A mix that I can throw together that will be a guaranteed hit will always be one that I use over and over.
I have used this sangria recipe before (yes, you can make sangria’s in the winter :)) and constantly recieve comments about how great it is. One of my favorite tricks with a sangria recipe is to use a red wine, like Riunite, which originates from Italy, instead of using a sangria mix from a bottle.
Ingredients:
1 750ml Bottle of Riunite Lambrusco
1 Lemon, 1 Orange, 1 Peach, 1 Ripe Green Apple, sliced
1/2 Orange Juice
1/4 cup Brandy, Optional. I used peach flavored brandy
1/4 Triple Sec
1 can of lemon-lime soda
Directions:
1. Slice all fruit.
2. Combine all the fruit into a glass pitcher.
Add in Brandy and Triple Sec.
3. Add the entire bottle of Riunite Lambrusco.
4. Last, add in orange juice and lemon-lime soda.
I cannot even tell you guys how great this is, and how much your party guests will love it!
