I have seen a few floating around on the interwebs and I immediately fell in love with it.
It was a knock off the famed Anthropologie Pom Wreath that I had heard so much about.
(I know…I need a bigger rug)
And it was easy as pie.
Or wait….pie may not be easy and neither are Sunday Mornings…
Easy, like easy stuff should be.
What you will need:
Two bundles (is that what they are called?) of yarn….the thicker, the better.
Box of straight pins
A straw wreath. You MUST leave the plastic wrap around it.
With my hobby lobby coupon, I grabbed all of this for under $10, you can’t really beat that.
I looked and looked for a larger wreath, but I picked up what they had in stock.

1. Wrap yarn around your finger about 45-50 times.
2. Gently slide off, while maintaing the shape.
3. Cut a longer piece of yarn (maybe 6 inches? I didn’t measure) and lay it across the bundle.
4. Tie a tight knot with the lose piece of yarn around the bundle.
5. Run scissors through the ‘loop’ of the yarn, on both sides.
6. Cut and shake, you now have yourself a glorified pom. Trim if necessary.
I started out making them one night and thought I should have gotten a thicker yarn, but didn’t see any.
So I set all aside and picked it back up again a few nights later during a college football game. It was a super frustrating game, so I pumped these babies out, while mumbling out loud why the receiver can’t.catch.a.freaking.ball.
When you are finished mauling the yarn out of frustration, you will start pinning them down.
I started with a row on the top, worked the inside, then the outside. I didn’t do the back, wanted it to lay flat on the door.
Run your straight pin through the knot for it to hold it in place, some required two pins.
If you notice you are short on poms, check in Barbies accessories. Always check with Barbie…little thief…
Anywho,
I decided to wrap my wreath hanger since it was shockingly white.
I debated on using a ribbon and nail. but I’m just not ready to run a hole in the door…quite yet.

Grab a roll of wide, wired ribbon. Make sure its covered in glitter so that your husband will glare at you from across the room.
1. Plug in your hot glue gun and unroll the ribbon.
2. Tack the ribbon down with a dot of glue at the top.
3. Continue to wrap and dot glue down the hanger.
4. I took off two poms to place the hook on the wreath, without messing it up.
5. Place the poms back on to cover the hook.
whoopthereitis.
Saved yourself a couple hundred buckaroos and have a fluffy wreath.
just.like.that.
